The purpose of information collection in our privacy policy is to ensure the proper functioning of the application and provide a satisfactory user experience. Furthermore, the information we collect enables us to continuously improve and optimize the application to ensure that it meets the needs and expectations of our users.

It is important to note that the collected information is used exclusively for internal purposes and is not shared with third parties without the explicit consent of the user. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users and complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data.

We use the collected personal data for the following purposes:

  • User account management in the application
  • We process personal data for the purpose of managing user accounts and enabling access to the application's services.

This information allows us to create, delete, and maintain user accounts, ensure their security, and provide a personalized user experience. It also helps us prevent and detect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

In the application, users can create an account using their email, Google account, or Facebook account. To manage these accounts, we use Firebase Authentication, a secure and reliable Google platform that allows us to manage user authentication and authorization.

It is important to note that all personal data collected for this purpose is processed in accordance with our privacy policies and used exclusively for managing user accounts and ensuring secure access to the application's services. Additionally, Firebase Authentication complies with the highest standards of security and data protection to ensure user privacy and security.

The collected information may include data such as email address, password, registration date, and last access date.

  • Personalizing the user experience
  • We process personal data to personalize the user experience and provide services tailored to each user's individual needs and preferences. The collected information may include data such as the language of the application interfaces or the language in which new stories will be generated.

  • Cloud storage
  • The application uses Firestore, a Google cloud database service that allows us to store and synchronize application data in real-time. The data stored in Firestore may include user's personal information, transaction history, and other relevant data.

The data is collected when the user uses the application and performs actions that involve data storage in Firestore. For example, when the user generates a new customized story, the corresponding data is stored in Firestore.

The data stored in Firestore is used to provide a personalized and enhanced user experience in the application. For example, we may use the information stored in Firestore to customize the user interface and improve the overall functionality of the application.

We take the protection of user's personal data stored in Firestore very seriously. We use technical and organizational security measures to protect the data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

If the user wishes to modify or delete the personal data stored in Firestore, they can do so at any time through the application's settings options.

This data is used to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of use, prevent and detect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities, and ensure the security and protection of the application and its users. It also helps us comply with applicable laws and regulations.

It is important to note that all personal data collected for this purpose is processed in accordance with our privacy policies and used exclusively to guarantee compliance with the terms and conditions of use and the security of the application and its users.

  • Counting user generated stories for monetization of the application
  • We process personal data to keep track of the stories generated by the user, in order to offer them a premium account or encourage donations. The generation of stories involves costs associated with the use of artificial intelligence services each time the user generates a new story.

The collected information may include data such as the number of generated stories, the date they were generated, and whether the user liked them. This data is used to keep a record of the user's activities in the application and offer them a premium account or encourage donations.

It is important to note that all personal data collected for this purpose is processed in accordance with our privacy policies and used exclusively to keep track of the generated stories and potentially offer a premium account or donations to the user in the future.

  • Maintain active session after authentication
  • We use key-value pair data to temporarily store the user's email address after they have logged in to the application. This information is used to keep the user's session active while they are authenticated in the application.

When a user registers or logs in to the application, their email address is temporarily stored in the key-value pair data. This allows us to identify the user and keep their session active while they navigate through the application. The information stored in the key-value pair data is used exclusively for the purpose of maintaining the user's active session and is not shared with third parties.

It is important to note that the information stored in the key-value pair data is automatically deleted when the user logs out, unsubscribes from the application, or uninstalls the application from their device. Additionally, security measures are implemented to protect the information stored in the key-value pair data by controlling data access through permission and authentication policies.

  • Advertising
  • The application uses Google AdMob, an online advertising service by Google that allows us to display personalized ads in the application. Google AdMob uses tracking technologies to collect information about the user's activity in the application. The data used to display the ads may include personal information of the user.

Data is automatically collected when the user uses the application and a Google AdMob ad is displayed. The collected data may include information about the user's activity in the application, user interactions with the ads, as well as information about the device, user activity in the application, session duration, user location, language, age, IP address, user interests, and other relevant metrics.

The data collected by Google AdMob is used to personalize the ads displayed in the application and improve the user experience. For example, we use this information to display ads that are relevant to the user and limit the frequency of ads to prevent the user from receiving too many ads in a short period of time.

Google AdMob uses technical and organizational security measures to protect the data from unauthorized access, alterations, or disclosures.

If the user wishes to modify or delete the personal data collected by Google AdMob, they can do so through the device's settings options or by using the ad management tools provided by Google.

In the context of Google AdMob, the data collected by the platform may be shared with advertisers who use the service in order to display personalized ads in the application and improve advertising effectiveness. However, this information does not include the user's personally identifiable information, such as their name or email address. Instead, anonymous and aggregated data about the user's behavior in the application, such as visited pages, interactions with ads, and geographic location, is shared.

Data security measures

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect users' personal data. We are committed to ensuring the security of our users' data and use security technologies and protocols to protect user information in the application.

Regarding user authentication, we use Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google. Firebase Authentication uses secure technologies and encryption protocols to protect user data, including HTTPS and SSL/TLS to encrypt communications between the application and authentication servers. In addition, Firebase Authentication implements security measures such as storing passwords in hashed form and using two-factor authentication to enhance the security of user accounts.

As the developer of the application, we do not have access to user login credentials, including passwords and authentication tokens. Firebase Authentication handles user identity verification and management of access credentials. User data is stored and processed in accordance with the Firebase Authentication Privacy Policy, which can be found here: [https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy].

In Custom Kids Stories, we use Firestore Database, a cloud database service provided by Google, to store and manage our users' data. We want you to know that the privacy and security of your data are our top priority, and that's why we want to inform you about the security measures implemented in Firestore Database to protect your data.

Firestore Database uses role-based access control policies to ensure that only authorized users can access database data. Additionally, all data is transmitted and stored securely using encryption techniques. Communications between the application and the database are performed using HTTPS, ensuring that data is transmitted securely. Furthermore, data stored in Firestore Database is encrypted at rest, meaning that data is encrypted while stored on Google servers.

Furthermore, Firestore Database employs protection measures against attacks such as intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and network activity monitoring to ensure that the database is protected against potential threats.

We want you to have peace of mind knowing that your data is protected while using the application. If you have any questions or concerns about the privacy and security of your data, you can find more information here: [https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy].
